As I sought out more to understand more about “the life” that is only in Christ Jesus, the Spirit of the Lord led me to that which is written in Romans 8:6 “For to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace”. It is was such a great delight to remember back to the time that the Lord led me to this word because this is when I began seeing the Lord work in my heart almost on a daily basis; and there is nothing in this universe that I can be tempted with that is more desirable than those great and mighty works that my heavenly Father has performed in my heart and in my thinking; to raise me up from the death of the carnal thoughts and bring into the living that dwells in the spiritual mind. It was with this verse that the Lord really brought clear definition to me as what death consisted of, which is the thoughts that rule over the thinking of all those who are carnally minded; such thoughts as bitterness, envy, confusion, loneliness, worry, cruelty, pride, contention, covetousness, rebellion, anxiety, hatred, greed, doubt, spitefulness, murder, arguments, self-glory, unbelief, malice, hypocrisy, impatience, strife, depression, revenge, arrogance, self-righteousness, boredom, corruption, hopelessness, dread, meanness, stress, disappointment, and self-condemnation. No wonder I could never find life I desired to have as long as I was in bondage to think on such miserable thoughts. Then the Lord asked me, “Where is the life in any one of these thoughts?” I said, “None, Lord; there is no life in any of those thoughts”. Then the Lord said, “Carnal thoughts are the death that I warned Adam and Eve of; that which would come upon them if they disobeyed my word. This is the death that rules over the thinking of all those who are carnally minded and the darkness that keeps man alienated and separated from the life that I created you for you to be partakers of. Now you know why I said that your thoughts are not my thoughts, seeing that not one of these miserable thoughts dwells in my thinking”. O Lord, grant unto your servant a spiritual mind!
내가 " 그 생명 " 오직 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 그것에 대해 더 이해하려 찾아 구했을 때,, 주의 영이 나를 로마서 8:6 절에 기록된 말씀으로 이끄셨습니다 "육의 정신 상태는 사망이요, 대신 영적인 정신상태는 생명과 평안이니라 ". 주님께서 나를 이 말씀으로 이끄신 것은 정말 큰 기쁨이었습니다,, 이것으로 되돌아가 기억게 하신 것이. 왜냐함,, 이때가 내가 보기 시작한 때였기 때문이었습니다,, 주님의 내 마음속에서 일하는 것을,, 거의 매일의 기본 생활에서 ; 그리고 이 우주 안에는 내가 유혹을 받을 수 있는 아무것도 없습니다,, 내 하늘 아버지가 내 마음속에서, 내 생각속에서 수행하신,, 그러한 크고 강대한 것들보다 더 가지길 바라는 어떤 일(보다) ; 나를 그 육의 생각들로 된 사망으로부터 일으켜(되살려) 세워, 영의 정신상태에 거하는 그 산자들속으로 데려오는 일(보다). 그것이 이 구절를 가지고 있는 뜻(말)이었습니다,, 주님이 내게 분명하게, 사망이 무엇인지를 정의해 주신 것으로서, 그것은 생각(사고)들이었습니다,, 육의 정신상태로 있는 모든자들의 그 생각을 지배하는 그 생각들 ; 예컨데 이런 생각들, 가혹함, 탐심, 혼란, 외로움, 걱정, 잔인함, 자긍심, 논쟁(주장), 질투, 반역, 근심, 미움, 탐욕,의심, 원한, 살인, 주장, 자기-영광, 믿지못함, 악의, 위선, 조급, 갈등, 우울, 복수, 거만함, 자기-의로움,지루함, 부패, 절망, 공포, 무의미, 긴장, 실망, 자기-정죄. 전혀 이상할 것이 없었습니다,, 내가 심히도 가지기 원했던 생명을 발견할수(얻을수) 없었던 것이,, 내가 그러한 비참한 생각들위에서 생각토록 노예상태(종살이)로 있은 한.
그때 주님이 내게 물었습니다, " 이러한 생각들 어느 것 속에 그 생명이 있느냐 ? " 나는 말했습니다, " 아무것에도, 주님 ; 저러한 생각들 어느것에도,, 전혀 생명이 없습니다 ". 그때 주님이 말했습니다, " 육의 생각(들)이,, 내가 아담과 하와에게 경고 했었던,, 그 사망이다 ; 그들에게 임할 그것,, 만약 그들이 내 말에 불순종하면. 이것이 그 사망이다,, 육의 정신상태로 있는 자들 모두의 생각(the thinking of all those : 사상)을 계속 지배하는,,(그 사망) , 그리고 그 어둠,, 인간(성)이 계속 멀어지도록 해서 내가 너희로 함께 참여자들이 되게 내가 창조했었던 그 생명으로부터 계속 갈라놓는 (그 어둠) . 이제 너는 안다,, 왜 내가 너희의 생각들은 나의 생각들과 다르다(같지않다),, 이러한 비참한 생각들 단 하나도 내 생각함들 속에는 거하지 않는다는 것을 알므로서 ". 오 주님, 당신의 종에게 영의 정신을 주소서 !
I love the Lord! I love how he is always there for those who are seeking to know his heart. I love the Lord for how he saved me when I was dead in my sins because of my atheistic belief. I love the Lord for how he saved me out of the congregation of the dead. I love the Lord for how he has/is saving me from the death that inhabits the thinking in the carnal mind. When the Lord showed me what the death of the carnal mind consisted of thoughts, I just dropped my mouth wide open, amazed of how blind and ignorant I was in that I could not see this before that time. I knew that my life was about to change, and that it would in such a way that it would/or could go almost completely unobserved by those around me; for who can see the thinking that is in the thoughts of another?

I then sought the Lord asking him what I must do to free myself from this death that ruled over my thinking. The Lord first led me to that which is written in I Corinthians 11:31-32
“For if we would judge ourselves, then we should not be judged; for when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world”. I then understood that I must begin to judge the thoughts within me, whether they were of God or of death. Then the Lord began to teach me about the cross; the cross that Jesus died on as well as the cross that we are to take up daily. We all know that Jesus died for our sins, but it is sins that we are all so ignorant of. For example, sin is the transgression of the law; but what law? Is it the law of Moses? How can that be so if we are no longer under that law? Paul said in Romans 7:21-23 “I find then a law, that when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members”. Was Paul speaking of the Law of Moses, that which is engraved in stone and not a law written that is found in members of man’s body; a law within that is able to hinder a man from doing good?

" 이는 만약 우리가 우리스스로를 심판(판단)할 것이면,, 그럼 우리는 심판받지 않는다 ; 이는 우리가 심판 받을 때에,, 우리는 주께로서 징계받음이라, 우리가 세상과 더불어 정죄받지 않도록 ". 나는 그때 이해했습니다,, 내가 내 안쪽의 그 생각들을 심판(판단)하기 시작해야 함을, 그것들이 하나님으로부터 기인된 것인지, 혹은 사망으로 기인 된 것인지를. 그때 주님이 내게 십자가에게 대해 가르치기 시작했습니다 ; 예수님이 달려 죽으신,, 십자가, 우리가 매일 지게 되어 있는 십자가. 우리 모두는 앎니다,,예수님이 우리 죄들를 위해 죽으셨다는 것을, 하지만 우리 모두가 정말 무지한 채 모르는 것이 죄(들)입니다. 예컨데, 죄는 (율)법의 위반입니다 ; 하지만 그것이 모세의 율법 입니까 ? 어떻게 그것이 그럴수 있습니까 ,, 만약 우리가 더 이상 그 (율)법 아래 있지 않다면 ? 바울은 로마서 7:21-23 절에서 말했습니다 " 내가 그때 한 법을 발견하노니, 선을 행하고자 할 때, 악이 나와 함께 있으니, 이는 내가 하나님의 법을 내적 사람으로는 기뻐하나 : 또 다른 법을 내 지체속에서 본다,, 내 정신(마음)의 법을 거스려 전쟁하는,, 나를 죄의 법으로 사로잡아오는 내 지체들 속에 있는 법을 ". 바울이 모세의 법, 그 돌에 새겨진 그것을 말하고 있었습니까, 인간 육의 지체속에서 발견되는 법 ; 한 인간으로 하여금 선을 행치 못하게 방해할수 있는 내부의 어떤 법입니까 ?
The word law means ruler; and with that in mind, consider Paul, a man who when he was a Pharisee was highly learned and skilled in the law of Moses, and here he was now saying that he has found another law ruling within him; not a law that would have him do that which is right and good, but that which would only have him to do those things which are wrong and evil. But then Paul makes what this law is a little bit clearer when he says in Romans 8:2 “For the law of the spirit of life has set me free from the law of sin and death”. The law of life and the law of death? I had never heard of such a thing. What man is able to be set free from this law of sin and death except that the law of the spirit of life comes to cast out that old ruler which men are powerless to free themselves of? Then Paul goes on to more clearly define these laws are when he says in verses 6,7 “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. For the carnal mind is enmity against God and it is not subject to the law of God, and indeed it cannot be”. What? The carnal mind itself is this law; the ruler that rules over the thinking of natural man.

What has more power, that which is natural for one to do or that which a man is unwilling to do? Is it easier for a man to love his enemies or to think evil of them? In the face of great trouble, is it easier for a natural man to be worry about the matter before him or to be content in his trust in the Lord? Is it easier for a man to forgive those who sin against him or is it easier for him to judge and accuse them? If a man does not get his will, is it easier for him to be disappointed or to just quietly accept the circumstance as it is? Is it easier for a man to do that which is right in his own eyes or to seek and ask the Lord to reveal that which right in his sight? If told that you have but a couple of months to live because of an incurable disease, is it easier for you to yield to your fears or to rejoice in your heart because you know that you are soon to see your Lord? If your thinking is carnal, then that which is natural has no fellowship with the Lord; and death is your state of mind, that which alienates and separates you from your God. But if your thinking is of the Spirit of the Lord, then that which is impossible for the carnal mind to do becomes that which is easy to do because the Spirit has become the nature of your thinking; and God’s thoughts will become your thoughts.
뭐가 더 힘이 있습니까, 한 인간이 행하기에 자유스런 그것입니까, 혹은 사람이 행하기 원치 않는 그것입니까 ? 한 사람이 그의 원수들를 사랑하는 것이 더 쉽습니까 혹은 그들을 악하다 생각하는 것이 더 쉽습니까 ? 큰 어려움에 직면하여, 자연스런 사람이 그 앞의 그 문제를 두고 걱정하는 것이 쉽습니까 혹은 주님께 그의 신뢰를 두고 만족해 하는 것이 더 쉽습니까 ? 한 사람이 그 자신에게 죄를 범하는 자들을 용서하는 것이 더 쉽습니까 혹은 그가 그들을 판단하고, 비난하는 것이 더 쉽습니까 ? 만약 한 사람이 그의 뜻하는 것을 이루지 못한다면,, 그가 실망하는 것이 더 쉽습니까, 혹은 그 상황을 있는 그대로 그냥 조용히 받아 들이는 것이 더 싶습니까 ? 한 사람이 그 자신 보기에 옳은 그것을 행하는 것이 더 쉽습니까 혹은 주님께 그분 보시기에 옳은 것을 드러내 보여 주시라고 찾아 구하는 것이 더 쉽습니까 ? 만약 당신이 불치이 질병에 걸려 단지 몇 달 밖에 살지 못한다고 들었다면,, 당신이 두려움에 굴복하기가 더 쉽습니까, 혹은 당신 마음속에서,, 주님 뵙게 될 날이 임박했으니,, 즐거운 일이라 생각하기가 더 쉽습니까 ? 만약 당신의 사고(정신상태)가 육적이라면, 그럼 자연스런 그것은 전혀 주님과 사귐이 없는 것입니다 ; 사망은 당신의 정신상태입니다,, 당신을 하나님으로부터 멀어지게 하고,, 당신을 하나님으로부터 갈라놓는 그 것. 하지만 만약 당신의 사고(사상)가 주님의 영으로 된 것이라면,, 그럼, 육의 정신이 행하기에 불가능한 그것이 행하기에 쉬운 그것이 됩니다,, 왜냐하면 그 영이 당신 생각(사고)의 성품이 되었기때문입니다 ; 하나님의 생각(사고)들이 당신의 생각(사고,사상)들이 되는 것입니다.
