The Acceleration of Time
As we process the progression of time, we should not forget that time is in submission to eternity, not the other way around. The Lord can accelerate time or slow it down to align with His purposes and accomplish His will.
While the reliability of the reoccurring seasons of creation have been given to us to reveal one aspect of the nature of God, something else will accomplish the same goal - a change to the natural order of time. “He changes times and seasons;he deposes kings and raises up others” (Daniel 2:21).
While in the midst of battle, the prayers of Joshua changed time and interrupted the natural order. “On the day the Lord gave the Israelites victory over the Amorites, Joshua prayed to the Lord in front of all the people of Israel. He said, ‘Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.’ So, the sun stood still, and the moon stayed in place until the nation of Israel had defeated its enemies” (Joshua 10:12-13). With God, all things are possible.
This week both Jan and I sensed the Lord telling us an acceleration of time is taking place that will lead to a dramatic demonstration of His presence. The Lord will accelerate the unfolding of current events by compressing the details of their unfolding to gain our attention. This compression of time and its corresponding result will bring glory to His name. It will also gain the attention of those who have fallen asleep in the predictable patterns of life.
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” (II Peter 3:8).
시간의 가속(증속)
우리가 시간의 전개를 따라가면서,, 잊지 말아야 합니다,, 시간이 영원에 종(예)속되어 있다는 것을,, 그 반대는 아님.
주(인, 여호와)님은 시간을 가속 시키거나, 늦출수 있습니다,, 그분 목적한 것들에 맞추어,, 그 분의 뜻(His will:바램,욕구,의지)을 달성하기 위해.
창조를 반복하는 계절들이 우리에게 주어지므로서,,, 하나님의 성질의 한 단면을 보여주는 반면에,, 어떤 다른것이 그 동일한 목적을 달성합니다 - 시간의 자연적 질서(순서)에 따른 변화(바뀜). " 그 분은 때들과 계절들을 바꾸고, 왕들을 폐위시키고 다른이들을 올린다 " (다니엘 2:21).
반면에 전투 가운데서는, 여호수아의 기도가 시간을 바꿔나,, 그 자연적 순서(질서)를 방해 했습니다. " 그 날에 여호와가 이스라엘에게 아모리인들을 이기는 승리를 주었다, 여호수아가,, 온 이스라엘 백성 앞에서, 주님께 기도하였다. 그가 말했다," 태양은 기브온 위로 멈추어라(정지하라), 그리고 달은 아얄론 골짜기 위쪽으로." 그러자, 태영이 정지하였고, 달이 그 자리에 멈추었다,, 이스라엘 민족(나라)이 그 원수들을 패주 완료하기까지 " (10:12-13). 하나님으로는, 모든것이 가능합니다.
이번 주,, 젠과 나(Jan and I)는 주님이 우리에게 시간의 가속이 일어나고 있다 말하는 것을 느꼈습니다(sensed:감지했습니다),, 어떤 극적인 그 분의 실제를 나타내 보이는 것과 연결되는. 주님이 우리의 시선을 끌기 위해,, 그것들 세세한 것들의 펼쳐지는 것들을 압축시키므로서 현 상태의 나타남을 가속화 시킬 것입니다. 이 시간의 압축시킴과 그것의 연결된 결과는 그 분의 이름에 영광을 가져다 줄 것입니다. 그 일은 또 일상화 된 생활패턴 속에서 잠에 빠졌던 자들의 시선을 끌 것입니다.
" 하지만 이 한가지를 잊지 마라, 사랑하는 자여,, 친구된 자들이여 : 주님께는 하루가 천년같고, 천년이 하루 같은 것을." (벧후 3:8).
